Obituary for
Erma L. Bulger (Martin)
Erma L. Bulger, 84, of Somerset, most recently of Meadow View Nursing Center, Berlin, was called home to be with the Lord on Friday, December 29th, 2017.
She was born Sunday, June 4th, 1933 at her family home in Everett, a daughter of the late George E. Martin and Buena Vesta (Barnes) Martin.
On April 10th, 1950 in Everett, she married Junior H. Bulger who passed away on April 2nd, 1985. She is survived by their two daughters,
Diane L. Speicher of St. Petersburg, Florida,
Bonnie L. Fickes of Somerset,
A granddaughter Holly Colflesh, seven grandsons, Wayne Speicher, Troy Fetters, Chad Fetters, Rusty Speicher, Todd Fetters, Justin Speicher, and Brandon Fickes,
18 great-grandchildren, 8 great great-grandchildren, and many loving cousins, nieces, nephews and their families.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in passing away by an infant daughter Lisa, five sisters, Freda Wareham, Phyllis Crawford, Vada Beegle, Margaret Shoemaker and Carol Swisher, two infant brothers and two brothers Don Martin and Melvin Martin.
After her marriage to Junior, Erma was a dedicated homemaker and good-natured mother and grandmother who was very active with raising her grandchildren, and everyone knew her as “Gram.”
In later years, she worked as a housekeeper at Siemons Nursing Home in Somerset for over 17 years, lovingly caring for her many patients. Erma enjoyed bowling with her league, earning many trophies, spending time outdoors, and was loyal to her family and friends. She will be truly missed for the kindness and time she dedicated to so many people in her life.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 4th, 2018 at 1:00 pm in the Chapel at Dalla Valle Funeral Service, Main Street, Everett, with Rev. Curtis Bryant officiating.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm, on Thursday from 11:00 am until the hour of service, share memories online at www.dallavalle-everett.com, and as an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Erma to the funeral home.
Burial will be held at Everett Cemetery.
