June L. Emery
June Emery, 75, of Everett, most recently of Colonial Courtyard at Bedford, passed away on Monday, January 23rd, 2017.
She was born Wednesday, May 21st, 1941 in the Oakland area of Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Clarence Emery and Margaret (Deihl) Emery Sweeney and was raised by her father and late grandmother, Jennie Emery.
She is survived by her 3 daughters,
Patty Nicola and husband Steve Nicola of Pittsburgh,
Janet Pittman and husband James Pittman of Everett,
Paula Corle and husband Dana Corle of Fishertown,
Seven grandchildren,
Alison Nicola of Pittsburgh,
Steven Nicola of Pittsburgh,
Summer Stiffler and husband Shane of McConnellsburg,
Jimmy Pittman and wife Alisha of Bedford,
Andrew Pittman of Everett,
Logan Corle of Fishertown and fiancée Britta Musser,
Tanner Corle of Fishertown,
A great-granddaughter Karah Stiffler,
Two brothers and three sisters,
Ray Emery and wife Hope of St. Augustine, Florida,
Joan Mangan of Pittsburgh,
Peggy Sweeney-Hill of Valencia,
Kevin Sweeney and wife Nancy of Pittsburgh,
Cecelia Lyman and husband John of Pittsburgh,
and many loving cousins, nieces, nephews and their families.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in passing away by her stepfather Lawrence Sweeney, her former husband Paul J. Snyder, a brother Charles Sweeney and his wife Flo and two brothers-in-law, Eddie Mangan and John Hill.
June attended the Everett United Methodist Church and was a member of the Everett American Post #8.
She first began working as a housekeeper at the Holliday Inn in Breezewood and then worked as the assistant manager for the McDonalds Restaurant in Breezewood.
After operating The Willows Restaurant on Route 30 near Mile Level in Bedford, June owned and operated the Surf Room Restaurant and Bar in Everett until its closing. She then worked at Cannondale Bicycle USA in Bedford as an assembler and retired after working at Hedstrom Corporation in Bedford as an assembler and painter.
A devoted mother, grandmother and sister who was supportive and proud of her children and grandchildren’s accomplishments, June felt that her family was the love of her life.
She enjoyed vacationing with her family and traveling throughout the United States, was savvy with computer games, board games and puzzles, and will be greatly missed for her sense of humor and the pride and independence she instilled in the hearts of others.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, January 28th, 2017 at 12:00 noon at the Fairview Christian Church, Artemas, with Pastor Fred Rudy and Pastor Debi Decker officiating.

Burial will be held at Fairview Cemetery.
